Log in to xbox settings with the parent microsoft account. While logging out from your xbox account, you cannot access mine coins and items you purchased from the store. Microsoft allows you to control your account your way with customizable privacy settings.

I also went to the xbox website and the xbox live app to see if i can change my settings there, but neither of them worked.

See instructions for reviewing and changing your privacy settings at aka.ms/mcmultiplayerhelp. Close the realm and reopen it. This means you need an active subscription to xbox live gold, playstation® plus, or nintendo switch online as needed by your console.
